'I'm still on anti depressants': X Factor's Lauren Murray reveals she was once admitted to a psychiatric unit after losing her father aged 11

It's her sprightly personality, as well as her show-stopping singing ability, that has made her a front-runner on this year's The X Factor.
But despite her 'bubbly' demeanor, Lauren Murray has opened up to OK! magazine about her tragic upbringing as a child after she lost her father, Haider, aged just 11.
The heartbreak proved so severe for the 25-year-old singing hopeful that she was admitted into a psychiatric unit shortly after his passing, confessing that she was in a 'bad state'.
